Training Dyslexia Therapists

It’s your turn to make a difference.

The Mississippi Dyslexia Institute is a team of dyslexia experts equipped with the knowledge and experience to identify, remediate, and improve short and long term outcomes for students with dyslexia. Our hope is that all dyslexics, regardless of location or economic means, would have access to proper identification and remediation.

Why Train Teachers?

  • The University of Florida identified that less than 17% of educators could recognize the signs of dyslexia in the classroom; consequently, less than 4% of dyslexics are ever diagnosed.

  • Dyslexia affects 1 out of every 5 people.

  • Half of all prisoners have been identified as dyslexic in recent studies in Texas, New York, and Louisiana.
